Hello,

Here is an update to the situation.

I've downloaded from the "check for updates" section and it says that New Software is available for download. I accept the download and it goes to the PR-500 updater screen and the UPDATE button is grayed out however on the reader itself it says USB connected.

Any ideas on what is causing this.

The Sony site says to update the firmware you have to send it in to them, could this be a reason why I can't download and read EPUB files?
