You're not cold or cruel or anything like that!! As everyone else has said there is no reason in the world why you should be expected to remain friends with him, and even less reason why he should expect anything from you except, possibly, a bare minimum of civility.

Maybe you and Catire should PM each other, his break up might be more recent so you can help him over that part and he can help you ignore the 8 year old
