Wait, so what about cellphone cameras? those banned as well? I presume so and good riddance to them!

Not only are cellphones with cameras prohibited, but several years ago I was told by the Yard Police that I couldn't bring Sidekick phone in. It didn't have a camera, but it had a connection to which a camera could be attached. So why couldn't I bring the phone in and leave the camera attachment home? I was told it was because the phone was "camera-ready." Well, my ass is camera ready should I ever decide to shove a Kodak up there. I'm surprised they don't make me leave
that home!
If the bad guys want pictures, they certainly won't be showing their cameras in plain sight!
No tape recorders are allowed either. Has it ever dawned on them that all someone needs to do to overhear a conversation is to leave their phone turned on the the area where they want to eavesdrop? And Windows computers are in every office. Have you ever seen one that didn't have a recorder function?
If they really want to tighten security, perhaps they could stop bringing in contractors who hire prisoners on work-release (*cough*
Earle Industries*cough*, excuse me!). A few years ago they brought me in to inquire about a marijuana arrest from 1969 (I had made no attempt to conceal the fact on my employment application). And yet the contractors bring in folks on work-release? Hardly seems fair.
Govmint!
