Warm temperatures have been present over most of the world, particularly eastern North America, parts of Asia, Eastern Europe, and equatorial Africa. By late June, seven countries in the Middle East and Africa had set new records for their all-time hottest temperatures......

NCAR? So now NASCAR's doing climate research? Oh, wait! The National Center for Atmospheric Research. What do those hippies know?

Seriously, that report should be taken as a warning. They didn't pull those international statistics out of a hat somewhere. And these certainly aren't the kind of things that big oil or big oil's spokesman, Rupert Murdoch and his big business propaganda machine, desire to see become public knowledge.

We need to begin letting the scientists themselves have more control over public policies that concern scientific findings instead of politicians dependent upon special interests for their very survival and an ill-informed public swayed to vote their own harm by the powerful and well-funded propaganda machines of the special interests.
