There's a little lesson in saying to yourself 'SUAS' which means 'Shut up and Smile' - it confuses the heck out of them.

In your mind's eye you can rip off their left arm, hit them about the head with the sloppy end, and then get really violent. By the time they have finished their little dirge, you just walk away or put down the 'phone. They have no idea what you are thinking, all it's all such a let-down for them.

What you are doing is perfectly normal.
