I bought my Kobo when they were first intro'd - and I signed up for one, sight unseen, from Borders US online. My wife already has her Kindle2 ... Although the Kobo is a "step down" from the Kindle2 (and please forgive me for re-stating what I've preached all over for the past two months here) , I am enjoying the heck out of the Kobo. Did I raise an eyebrow or two when Borders started to offer the gift certificate and double Rewards Points a couple weeks after my purchase? Honestly - sure. But my enjoyment of the unit overshadowed that, in all honesty. I am very glad I purchased it when I did.
