This week's titles include Stephen Crane's Maggie, Gustave Flaubert's Sentimental Education, Theodore Dreiser's Sister Carrie, Henry James' Wings of the Dove, Anne Brontë's Agnes Grey, Elizabeth Gaskell's Life of Charlotte Brontë, F. Scott Fitzgerald's Beautiful and the Damned & This Side of Paradise, Tess of the d'Urbevilles, Les Misérables, Collected Poems of Emily Dickinson, and Edith Wharton's Ethan Frome.
These are nice editions with bonus annotations and essays.
As always, last week's books will still be available free for a very short time until the prices update in the system (generally until sometime after midnight PDT, be sure to refresh each individual book page to make sure it still says 0.00 before clicking), even though they're no longer listed on the main promo page.
Go here to the
regular B&N free books page, or here for
custom 0.00 B&N Classics search to turn them up while they last.
Last week's theme was "Uncensored", and there was a bunch of D.H. Lawrence, Sinclair Lewis/Upton Sinclair, Kafka, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Flaubert, Defoe, Voltaire, The Scarlet Letter, and Walt Whitman, if anyone came late to the party and is interested.
Also, when you download the
NookStudy app, they give you a link to 12 more classics, though most of them are repeats from previous recent promos. But Plato's Republic, Canterbury Tales, and Dante's Inferno haven't been previously offered before, at least not in the past few months, and you can pick up any you might have missed.
Also,
Every Zombie Eats Somebody Sometime is also now a free pre-order at B&N, while you're picking stuff up.
