Sony 600
[QUOTE=Noah98;1044435]The 600 is not the same as the 505. The 600 has poor contrast and terrible glare on the screen.
Now, this is completely untrue. I own a Sony Touch (prs 600) and, despite my elderly and weakish eyes, I do _not_ find any "terrible glare" on it. It does have some glare at a certain angle which you can avoid by simply tilting the device a bit, after which the screen is crystal clear, especially in direct sunlight when you can read very comfortably.
I suspect that you haven't spent much time with the Sony Touch and tend to use stereotype phrases about the 600 that you've picked up in different fora. I can assure you that the Sony Touch, aka prs-600, is a very readable device that functions well. On top of all this you get a touch screen, page swipe, quick page turns, great dictionaries, and long charges. I won't talk about the quality of the build which is, most likely, among the best of the best.
Let's make our personal preferences more factual and less biased, please.
I do agree with you that the new Kindle will probably offer the sharpest screen of all -- no two ways about it, and I agree that the Nook has a crisper screen than the 600 overall. But the 600 does _not_ have any "terrible" glare and its contrast is just fine if you have a good source of light and tilt it properly.
