I can understand they can not legally sell us books via Connect store. But why can't they sell us READERS?

I personally do not care about the Connect store.
There are other sources for books and texts. It takes me at least a week to read a book and that is plenty of time to find another one on the net.
Well according to another thread, Sony will be selling the reader in the UK sometime next year.
