If I put my credit card number on the Kindle it can be read by Amazon?

I was shocked and very disturbed to read above that Amazon had deleted books like 1984 by remote control!

If enough people had Kindles and paper books cease to exist then Amazon could delete all books that are not approved by Amazon!


This is very frightening.
