Ha Ha, funny how people see things differently. My first reaction to that news was that is a terrible idea, it's going to backfire on RIM. It would be a great
option to have but a terrible solution if it's the only way to have 3G.
In theory it sounds great in practice it's not. Tethering drains your phone battery like you wouldn't believe. If you tether wirelessly you have two wireless signals going out on your phone. If you tether with a USB cable now you don't drain your battery, but you got your phone hanging of of this tablet device.
