Maybe the multimedia answer was in response to the "vook" that some company was trying to push? She's just trying to gauge a response to this thing that certain publishers are trying to push. I think it's a fair answer. And dedicated readers aren't the only form of electronic reading; plenty of people on these forums eread on their computer or phone, which have multimedia capabilities.
I actually use the annotate function on my Kindle quite a bit. Far as I know it's considered a dedicated ereader
