I'll throw in another VofC for Sony hardware. I don't have one, but I really do admire the design of the VAIO laptops. I do, however, have a Sony A/V receiver, a Sony television, and a Sony DVD player, as well as my Reader. They've all been solid, trouble-free performers. I also have a Sony portable CD player that you can just about bounce of the wall without a skip.

Having said that, Sony's approach to consumer electronics really does seem to be a lot different from its approach to media.
