Just got home from the NC College of Veterinary Medicine. Our baby cat Goldie, now 5-years old, has a congenital heart murmur that the animal shelter doc missed completely. She has no outward symptoms, but we have to take her in once a year for a complete cardio work-up: echocardiogram, EKG, BP, X-rays, etc.
She got a GREAT report! No progression or worsening in her heart condition! BP is fine (140!), heart size fine, etc.
So no more road trips for her until 2011! She hates traveling in her box - we got an over-size rigid plastic model with lots of windows so she could see us and "talk" to us during the drive. We all stress out during the drive. Now we're all home relaxing! Whew!
