Let me guess how this Troll of a thread will end up . " I just got my Kindle 3 and it ohhhh so great, it's everything the Nook isn't, I'm finally happy, I don't have all these shadows. And It's ohhhh soo light. Oh my poor wrists are thanking me as we speak. Thank You Amazon for making a product that that Barnes and Noble couldn't".
there so hopefully you won't have to come back with your post, which was the point of this whole thread any way

The point was this - if I'd seen a post like this when I was weighing up the pros and cons of various eReaders, I would
not have bought the Nook because I know how sensitive I am to reflection phenomena like this - I didn't buy the Sony Touch specifically bacause of the glare and reduced contrast of the screen that's been reported here and elsewhere.
Now, if I can likewise save some other poor sap that's also sensitive the trouble of ordering a Nook, then all the good. The rest, the weight, crappy GUI and buttons, can be lived with, but the reflections off the black screen bezel
for me are very hard to live with especially when there are other options that don't have these issues.
As for the assumption that I'm a troll; I find that insulting and uncalled for.
