Well the Ipad is LCD so its gonna be a bit more harsh on your eyes and will have glare when outside(or even inside in certain situations) This can be annoying. The benefit of an ereader is the screen, it looks like paper and does not make any glare usually(Sony is said to have some on some of the models).
Netbook + Ereader = Same price about...Better on both aspects imo.
