Vzzzbx, not only can we freely buy stuff from overseas, there are no parallel import restrictions in NZ (so I could buy and resell) and there is no duty or GST charged on imports <$250 value, so the tax/VAT issues from Europe also don't apply.
It's just so frustrating.
If Whitcoulls/Borders/A&R would get their act together and expand their selection it would help a lot, but they are still really limited (I think they're up to 3000 SF/F books now). I emailed them about selection, and was told that 'we are adding new books every day - be patient and keep checking'. Which doesn't exactly help.
