I just added a new 'status' tag to Calibre. 1 star means the book was read, 2 stars means it was read in paper and will be re-read later, and 3 stars means I didn't finish it. Now, no more guilt. Library books and freebies can be deleted, but now I have a way to deal with paid-for books.
