I'm not arguing. I agree with you. The point I was trying to make was simply that someone had this experience in a crowded restaurant at lunch hour and wrote about it, and people are jumping to conclusions. No one thought to actually get a statement from the restaurant owner or manager about the rationale behind the policy or what waitstaff enforcing the rule were told or anything else.
