I voted no. If a book doesn't seem like it's going anywhere or is poorly written/edited and I can't take it anymore, I'll abandon it. That said, there are books I didn't enjoy that I read to the end, hoping that they'd redeem themselves. Empress by Karen Miller was one of those. I've no interest in reading the other books in the series.
