My sister ordered the refurbished 3G US version for $109 weeks ago -- and she hasn't gotten it yet. She keeps getting e-mails from Amazon pushing back the ship date, and Thursday she got an e-mail saying that they may not be able to fulfill the order so she could cancel if she wanted, but must let them know one way or the other. She opted to stay on the list. She's getting pretty upset about it, though, because she ordered a cover and some books when they started showing her Kindle under the "Manage My Kindle" page. She doesn't have the additional $80 to order the new 3G one, and she particularly wants 3G. I told her she ought to call Amazon and see if she can talk them into substituting this $169 one that apparently IS available, since she has been awaiting the other one in good faith for so long.

I, on the other hand, ordered the $109 refurb when it first became available, and got it within a week. It's in perfect condition, and I have no regrets.
