Many of my quotes have to do with religious topics for no better reason than the fact that books with religious themes constitute a large part of my reading. Comparative religions along with religious and philosophical speculations in general are among my major fields of interest.

I'm not trying to hijack the thread with the religious quotes, and I only offer them—as well those with non-religious themes—as food for thought. I might add that many of the quotes I've collected over the years represent viewpoints with which I strongly disagree, but I share them as well for the same reason.
