Several years ago, I ripped all my CD's to my computer, and we haven't touched the darn things since. My music and photos (over 20,000 photos, since I got my Nikon D40 years ago) reside on my HTPC, and are instantly available to my Home theater or any other pc in the network (Win 7 and Media Center are my friends). I have instant access to all my digital media, from any computer, anywhere in the house. With wifi Kindles, I could do the same thing.
