The way I see it, you used to get a cover of Amazon's choice whether you wanted it or not, and of course the cost of the cover was included in the overall price. Now, the price is cut and you get to choose your own cover from another vendor, if you wish.
I don't plan to get an Amazon cover. My experience with my Sony EBRs & iPad has been that I like using the bare-naked device. So after wasting money on the Apple iPad cover, I bought a really easy to use sleeve at Brookstone when I was in the airport a few weeks ago, and it does the protection/transportation job quite nicely. It's called the Express Ballistic Portfolio & cost me $35.
I bought Tuff-Luv covers for my Sonys. They are well designed, but I find myself slipping the EBR out of the cover to do actual reading, except when I read at a table where the cover turns into a no-hands reading easel for the EBR.
So I'll be looking for a slip cover of some kind for my K3. (Though the easel thing might send me back to the Tuff-Luv.)
