Nah, usually I pack a pbook for these occasions. It's just annoying that the airlines have a Dope Rule* about this. There is a smidgeon of anecdotal evidence that just maybe cell phone operations interfere somehow with the electronics involved with taking off or landing an airplane. So the airlines ban the use of ALL electronics, whether or not connected or connectable to a network. They do this because they don't seem to be able to actually figure out whether cell phones interfere, and they are unable to craft a rule that says "don't use your cellphone."
But there's no point, not to mention no percentage, in hassling the stewardess about it.
