I shouldn't have written that.
Immediately after posting I experienced two crashes ;-)
I opened pdf book I was reding previously with no issues. I Opened it on page cca. 400/500. I havwe read about 6 pages and the reader has restarted spontaneously. After restart I have opened book again paged to most recent page and continued reding several more pages. Thr device restarted again. I wwas again taken to the point where I started reading that day, paged to last read page and continued without further incident.
