Hi. I'm new here and currently pondering the same question.

I have a K1, which I really like. The idea of a K3 is tempting... I pre-ordered both versions. I don't have a lot of money, and I like the idea of saving $50 by getting the Wi-Fi only version. (I probably wouldn't be upgrading at all, but I' wouldn't mind having the newest model... plus it would give me the opportunity to give the K1 to someone I care about who loves to read and doesn't even have a computer. Um... that's kind of sneaky and noble at the same time, isn't it?)

I've been looking at the way I use the k1. Almost all the time, I wouldn't need 3G.

But... these days, I like to sit in the park (where this isn't any Wi-Fi) and read every nice day after I leave work. There have been times when I've started to read something, got an idea, and gone off on a tangent. For instance, the other day, I was reading something and there was a reference to Walt Whitman. Suddenly, I wanted to read Whitman. After downloading and reading some of my favorite poems, I wanted to read some stuff by Poe... and that lead to Tennyson... and that led to.... You get the idea.

I may not do that often, but I think I'd miss [edit] being able to do it.

It's looking like the 3G for me.
