I love how successful the Kindle product line is. I was one of the $499 K1 early adopters, then the K2, then the DX, then back to the K2, then the DXg, then back to the K2, then ordered the K3.
I travel a lot and remember when I would use my K1 on a plane. People were so confused - had no idea what it was. The K2 was kinda the same after it was initially released. The DX threw people for a loop and the DXg continued that trend.
Now, when I travel, I see e-Book readers everywhere. People ages 15 to 85 use them. I won't say they are as common as, say, an iPod, but it's refreshing to see this technology taking off. I knew it was a winner after dropping half a grand on the K1.
So, I have returned the DXg (just too big as I carry two laptops through airports weekly) and am eagerly waiting on the K3. Until then, my trusty "stand-by" K2 works great.
