They are predicting a cooling trend for later in the week, with highs only in the mid to high 90's. Big deal. Honestly, anything over 95 could just as well be 110. Once you reach a certain level of misery, from there on, it is just numbers.
Our AC is simply not keeping ahead of this heat. In the evening when the sun is in the west and blazing, it gets hot enough to melt one's butt into the sticky leather sofa.

A toddler died in a car today.
It is still 100 degrees at 6:30 PM.
Gonna be the same tomorrow.
Severe weather alert was raised from "heat advisory" to "excessive heat warning".
We are also under an orange level ozone alert.
