I've been very happy with my K1. I was planning to wait to replace it when "the next generation" of technology came along (Mirasol, Sipix, can't remember the 2 or 3 other rumored technologies that have been about to come out "any day now" for the past 6 - 12 months). But Pearl sounds pretty good. The streamlined dictionary lookup that was introduced in K2 would be very welcome. And wifi would actually be better for me than 3G because I don't have a very robust signal where I live. So $139 is very tempting....
