I started on mobileread, because back in 2006 it was the only place to get information about the newly minted field of ebook readers and as a new owner of a PRS 500, I desperately needed that information. I stayed because MR is a dreadful vampiric entity that sucks all the time out of your world

I doubt I would have developed calibre were it not for the community here at MR.
