For many years my husband would only purchase Intel made motherboards for the desktop computers he built due to prior bad experience with other brands, but they were fairly expensive. Then he needed to build a really cheap computer and chose an Asus motherboard based on cost as well as specs. He was pleasantly shocked by how easy it was to work with and how well it performed. So now we very carefully check any available Asus parts when making choices and have been consistently impressed. We do not have a netbook or non-parts Asus product, but I am very much interested in the reader they announced just because it will have their name on it. I have read many of the doubts about the SiPix screens, but I am very willing to give Asus the benefit of the doubt and see what is produced before passing judgement. Since this is a new product for them, their reputation will again be on the line to people who never heard of them before encountering it. Also, Jinke has announced that the A6 and A9 units will use SiPix screens and they have quite a bit of the market for readers I'm sure they were very careful with any choice that would affect their reputation. Or so I hope...
