I was having some problems today and ended up formatting my Reader's memory and loading all the books back on again, one of which was a library book. When I had first loaded the book with ADE, it had a notation of the expiration date when it displayed on my Reader. After the format, I added it back to the Reader with Calibre (because ADE was going very slow and I was impatient) and it appears now as a normal book, with no indication that it will expire or that it is a library book at all. Perhaps this is a happy accident, since in ADE it still appears as a library book with the option of returning it. I guess I will find out in ten days if it has disappeared or not.

But everyone is right about not being able to view books. You can't use Calibre to view DRM-restricted books, no matter what the source.
