The problem with third party covers is that they usually add 1-2 inches in width and sometimes even in height, that they often tend to cover up the on/off switch, and that they don't use the pinholes. Probably just slightly modified versions of covers designed for other devices to save costs.

While I don't like the fact that the cover is white, but in the end keeping overall size to a minimum is most important for me -- one of the reasons I got the 800 in the first place. A great compromise between size and usability.
