I picked up a refurbished Eee900a from Geeks.com for $180, over a year ago. It has
been a lot of fun to play with, upgrading it and converting it to an XP machine. For a
number of things it functions very well, including some light gaming (Freelancer, Dungeon
Siege2, Thief2, ect.). A good 64GB SSD and 2GB memory upgrade, didn't set me back
that much, and make for a very responsive and functional portable device. (I haven't
used mine for a few months but I just now turned it on and it still shows 65% battery
remaining.)
Asus has been my preferred Motherboard source for a long time now, due to the high
quality of their products. If a poster's judgment were to find otherwise, I would have
to wonder if I could find myself in agreement with his other pronouncements.
Luck;
Ken
