I started reading ebooks on my old Palm in the 1990s too, and I'm sad to say my Palm LifeDrive 'died' a few months ago, sad to loose a good device and lots of useful apps. Reading on the Palm with the backlight settings hacket so it can be turned almost off, was almost as good as reading with the eink devices. And i do miss the scrolling screen
