I haven't used it about 6-8 weeks, because my current biblio-obsession is with two authors who are unlikely to show up on the Connect site: one is an English writer, and the other is mainly published in small-press. Has anyone heard of either type of work getting onto the Connect site?

What's happened is that the battery died. Charging it fixes that problem. There is a hack you can get that will let you turn off your 500 so it doesn't use up the battery. It does require a reboot when you turn it back on. But that's not all that slow. But it means you'll have battery left when you go to use it.
