Most people in elevators only talk on their phones. I wonder if that counts. Otherwise it seems quite usual to either look at the floor numbers change or stare vacantly. There is already a kind of closeness just by being in a confined space. What if someone tries to take advantage of my kindness of talking to them and tries asking me for money?
