at the time (I'm certain it is still an issue) at least one hiker or jogger a year became a cougar snack. I practically LIVED in the mountains with my Scouts. I asked the fine folks that didn't want me discreetly packing my .45 how many scouts they were content to have become cougar cookies because of their sensibilities. we won at the time. I have a feeling it has since changed
