Seriously though, I wasn't reading when the small Cessna piloted by a friend's brother looked as if it was going to make the news. I did have my camera, however, and began taking pictures as fast as I could snap the shutter. I figured if that was it, at least I'd get some great shots on the way out.

Fortunately we landed safely, if a bit unsteadily, after almost running off the landing strip.

We went up the following week with another friend. I didn't tell him of our experience the previous week until we were airborne.
