After giving up hope of any future firmware updates for my PRS-700, I'll probably just consider my *next* eBook reader as a throwaway item. I may just buy the cheapest available, with an acceptable screen, that reads the format I want. When it breaks down, it'll probably be obsolete anyway, I'll toss it and buy the next generation cheap reader that reads the format I want.
The only drawback to this may be the format I want becomes obsolete.
It's all a matter of space and convenience to me. My product loyalties are waning.
