I would wait a little to see what other companies will release in a couple of months. I like the Sony design and feel when I hold it in my hand while reading. I never like the Kindle's keyboard design. It looks ugly to me. I also like the dictionary and touch screen of my PRS-600. Annotation and markup is exactly what I am looking for in an ereader.

If Amazon can release the Kindle 3 for $139 and $189, what's stopping B&N, Sony, Borders from doing the same? In any case, I am willing to pay a little higher for the next generation Sony.

If Sony is smart, they would introduce a 9.7" with the touch screen feature that it has now in PRS-600 and PRS-900. That would make it a perfect "academic" reader. All the students will rush out and get one.

No ugly design and cheap plastic for now....
