Amazon is reportedly selling the new Kindles below cost, with the expectation that they'll make it up on selling books. I love my PRS-300, but I think unless Sony can convince a Borders or Barnes & Noble etc. to drop their own hardware and sell Sony's insead at a subsidized price, they might have a hard time competing in the world of $139 Kindles...
