I think it averages out to 2 paid purchases per month.

I tend to wait for sales or deep discount coupons such as Fictionwise and Smashwords have from time to time, and then splurge by getting stuff I've had my eye on in a big batch, so my actual buying patterns are in irregular surges.

I'm pretty picky about what I actually shell out money for, and still prefer paper formats for my favourite "keeper" authors and non-fiction in general.

If we count those time-limited promo freebies, then it's much more regular, because I "buy" those almost indiscriminately on the off chance there'll be something in one of the stories that I like or some reference thing I'll find useful.

But I think my download/read ratio for those is something like 100:1. Maybe even less.
