I've owned the Sony 505, 300, 600, and 900 at one time or another. Ironically, my first Sony reader the 505 was the best of all of them. But Sony seems to have abandoned the 505 design for glared screen models. I'll keep my 300 since I doubt I could get enough for it to make it worth selling, but I already bought a Kindle DXG and I pre-ordered the new Kindle WiFi Graphite yesterday. The one thing that sealed my decisions was that Amazon is constantly upgrading their formware, but Sony rarely does that, if ever. That and the fact that the Sony Reader Store application is the most pathetic POS I've ever seen.

If sony does not release any new readers by the end of October, or if the new models follow the glared, touch screen design model, I think the market will collapse around them and they will withdraw from the eBook reader market like they did from the PDA market several years ago.
