2000 posts. Verily a minor milestone considering how many babbling post padders I share this forum with. Many of whom do not even pause to form a coherent thought before spewing their verbal diarrhea all over innocent bystanders. Yea, though I wander through the sewers of MobileRead, I will fear no stupidity, for I wear the galoshes of literacy.
Since I first arrived within these heavily crayon scrawled halls, I have been befriended by many, though their combined I.Q.s add up to so very few. The groping that ensued was unsettling, the conversations forgettable and the spelling deplorable. Yet, scattered within this seething mass of sweaty naked flesh, a small group struggles against the undertow of ignorance to touch my mind, my heart and my soul. I would name them now, if any of them were actually here to bask in the afterglow of my triumph against adversity and this tiny Kindle keyboard. You know who you are. I know who you are. We share the knowing and in the knowing share the knowledge that we know each other. Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? Don't ask me, I don't know. But I know what I know about those of you I know by having gotten to know you. Even if some of you refuse to allow me to know you intimately. Your loss. Want a cookie? I do enjoy a good cookie every now and then. But, alas, I am without cookies. The maple/peanut butter dog biscuits aren't bad, though.
Finally, it is the duty of every MobileRead member to fight against the spread of the Romance genre both here and abroad. If you know a broad who reads that crap, throw her a cheap feel. Literature should never replace a good regular boff, boink or spork. Mods, you are on notice! Catch someone pushing Romance novels, pull them to the side and make an obscene suggestion. If they actually write the stuff, try fire.
Thank you.
