I have to ask... have you tried connecting to other wifi spots? The problem just might be the source.
I've connected my A81 to perhaps 10 or 12 wifi spots. There's been about two which it won't connect to. Luckily, it connects incredibly fast to my wifi at home (the fastest of any computer or device I've ever tried). It connects so fast that upon boot/startup, by the time it has started (17 seconds) it has already connected.
I will help research your problem and if I locate any pertinent info, I'll let you know.
