So the phone guy, adamant there was nothing wrong, hardware-wise ...

so when the engineer arrives, why did he change the motherboard and the optical drive, and the heat sink (saying faults with the latter were a known problem with the machine).

the engineer's description of the support advisors; "muppets" .....
