My experience differs. With the 2.3 update, I'm no longer having problems using the OPDS catalog with Aldiko, and can download fine.

I should note that I'm not using Aldiko compatibility mode, just OPDS.

Yes I'm using Aldiko compatibility mode. It lists the books fine but will not download.
