Hi experts,

as far as i know only documents/ebooks with known extensions could be imported into calibre.

Is it possible to import documents with extensions currently unknown to calibre e.g. ".ppt", ".odp",".sxi". I don't need to convert them but only be managed maybe viewed.

Is there any plugin or programmable extension to do so ?

Or does every extension require to change a lot of calibres source code ?
